International Relations Students Visit BAC 14th Annual Spring Fest

The Bay Area Council's 14th Annual Spring Festival is the business community's preeminent celebration of the Lunar New Year with an evening of modern Chinese culture, art, music and food to celebrate the contributions of the Chinese and Chinese American communities to the Bay Area’s culture and economy. In addition to the fest, they also annually present The Global Leadership Award celebrates those who contribute to bridging the divide between California and China and promote better understanding for long-term prosperity. This year, Mayor Breed was Presented with The BAC Global Leadership Award for her contribution to APEC in 2023, in addition to raising $20 million in investments towards the conference.

One of our students, Zen Lewis, was lucky enough to speak briefly with the mayor about International Relations students' volunteering impact with APEC. Students look forward to more opportunities of this kind in the future.
