Toshio Ohsumi

Toshio Ohsumi, one our our oldest alumni, had an interest in pursuing a career in diplomacy in Japan when he began his studies. His journey in International Relations began when he graduated from our department in 1962. After graduating from San Francisco State University, however, he pursued further education in the Executive Businessmen Program and Corporate Finance Management Program at Harvard Business School in the summer of 1986.
He is best known for his work with Mitsui & Co., a Japanese corporation known for wholesale, as well as worldwide logistics and investment in major infrastructure around the world. This is one of the largest corporations of its kind in Japan.
