Scott Siegel is Assistant Professor of International Relations. He currently teaches International Political Economy (IR 312) and the International Relations of Europe (IR 327). He also teaches the core course in the major, Introduction to International Relations (IR 104). Prof. Siegel’s publications focus on cooperation in Europe and political economy broadly defined. His first book, "The Political Economy of Noncompliance" (2011), explains why some EU Member States violate international law more than others. His other publications include: “Bearing Their Share of the Burden: Europe in Afghanistan (2009)” and “Weighing Macedonia’s Entry Into NATO (2010).” His research interests center on issues related to European Union, comparative European politics and international political economy.
