Aguibou Y. Yansané
( He/Him/His )Professor Yansané teaches courses on International Political Economy (IPE), International Development, Economic Development (Rich and Poor Nations: North/South Dialogue), Regional Economic Communities, Africa and North/South Economic Relations.
His research interests include economic development, North/South economic relations, economic integration, and linkages between Africans and the African Diaspora. He has written four books and numerous articles in these areas. Professor Yansané is currently working on U.S. Foreign Policy and Africa.
Professor Yansané has been consultant many times for various United Nations specialized agencies over the course of his career. Most recently, he was consultant to the World Bank in 2010, for research and writing on Political Economy, Governance, and Decentralization Issues and Sustainable Development in West Africa. Another recent appointment for Professor Yansané was with the United Nations Development Programme to evaluate the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) for the Regional Programme for Africa (2008-2011) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
He was awarded a Ph.D. in an Interdisciplinary Study of Food Research Institute, or Agricultural and Resource Economics, Engineering Economic Systems, and African Studies, at Stanford University, 1971.
